Tried Them and Loving Them!
Friday, 07 September 2007 00:00

The new variants of handmade soaps I made last July (please refer to my post "My New Venture is Done. Now, the Important Wait…") were ready for use last August and I have been using them since. So far, these are my personal and general feedbacks: - my skin feels soft and smooth after every use (especially on the face); I get to skip nights of applying my facial moisturizer - they produce a creamy lather - their scents are nice and mild I like them all but I've grown to love some in particular.

These are my personal favorites from the new variants:

1) Just Tea Tree I like the scent of tea tree that's why I enjoy bathing with this soap. Tea tree essential oil smells so refreshing and clean. I add tea tree leaves for a little scrubby feel. My husband loves it, too! I would ask him to try another kind (for feedback) but after one shower, he'll go back to this handmade soap. He says it feels really refreshing.

2) Strawberry Milkshake The strawberry scent of this soap smells good enough to eat...I mean drink! The goat's milk makes my skin feel extra soft while the chamomile essential oil and chamomile extract makes the soap even more moisturizing. I add fruit extracts that help prevent wrinkles and acne.

3) Poppy Love The scent of cedarwood essential oil is just addicting to me. It's mild and has a tinge of a "coconuty" scent (I love the smell of coconut!), but this might just be me 'coz my husband couldn't smell the coconut scent. My olfactory sense is just too keen :P. The poppy seeds are perfect scrubs for those who don't like too rough exfoliants, like me.

4) Milkenhoney I'm a sucker for anything with milk and honey. Laughing My face feels extra soft after using this handmade soap and my husband noticed it, too. .

The others are:

Rosemary Pine - This bar is very invigorating. It's a great "wake-uper" in the morning. I put ground rosemary for some scrubbin' and seaweed extract to firm up the skin. Seaweed extract is also known for slimming.

Citrus White - A dream bar for all those who are in search for a natural whitening soap. It has lemon essential oil and four (4) kinds of whitening extracts, but a lot more of the papaya extract that everyone has grown to know as THE whitening ingredient.

Lavender Treat - A relaxing bar that's an antioxidant, astringent, and a skin toner all in one. The lavender essential oil in it will pamper your skin even more. The tomato extract is loaded with vitamin C which helps prevent wrinkles and acne, while the cucumber extract will keep your skin toned, clean, and refreshed.

Eucalyptus Breeze - A bar that will remind you of the spa because of the eucalyptus essential oil. It's great to breath in the handmade soap's aroma in the shower. Also a great bar for acne-prone skin. I add a fruit extract that's an antioxidant to prevent wrinkles and acne.

Choco Latte - This handmade soap really works! It removes odor from your hands after holding fresh garlic and onion. Its chocolatey scent makes it more fun to use in the shower. Ground barako beans gives this bar a nice scrub.

Total Attraction - This shampoo & body bar is loaded with moisturizing oils plus I add vitamin E for its soothing, emollient, and anti-aging properties. It contains no foaming agents or harsh chemicals (none of my handmade soaps do). As a shampoo bar, the rosemary extract softens the hair and the patchouli extract stimulates hair growth. As a body bar, your skin will get all the moisturizing benefits of the oils and will love the essential oils in it. All the new variants will be available by mid-October next month. I hope you will give them a try. .
