I am really happy (and proud) with how these souvenirs turned out. It was quite a challenge for me at the beginning, given the motif of the couple. It was also not easy to match the toffee brown they wanted so I had to settle for the closest brown tone available. But in the end, the soap dish sets looked very elegant as how the bride, who is based in the United States, wanted them to be (trust me, the actual souvenirs look so much better).
Originally, the bride wanted the wrapper in brown and the ribbon in orange. But since there was no wrapper available in brown, we had to settle for the other way around. But it was good it ended up that way because the contrasting colors came out better. I used two (2) brown ribbons in different textures. The brown studs gave the souvenirs the final look of elegance. Knowing that the wedding will take place in Tagaytay, I also took into consideration the right design for the cool weather. I don't know, I just tried imagining what look will give "warmth" to the guests upon receiving the souvenirs. Well, I just hope they had that effect as they were being distributed.
I thank the bride for selecting BY NATURE Handmade Soaps as her souvenirs, but I also thank the bride's sister, whom I communicated with the whole time for their orders. She actually sent some bars to her sister to try for her skin condition. After the bride saw great results on her skin, she decided to book for them. What better giveaways to share with your guests than something that works for you, right?
The funny thing was, after the sister gave me the list of variants to be ordered, the bride suddenly had everything changed to Green Tea Escape! It was one of the bars her sister shipped to her and she loved the scent so much! The best part for me was seeing their faces when they saw the actual souvenirs. They were both very happy with how the soap dish sets looked. It also seemed like the sister was the most excited because she was the one who recommended BY NATURE Handmade Soaps as souvenirs to her sister. I just love the feeling of knowing that the couples are happy with their souvenirs, especially for the bride because I once was one, too. This was a text message from the sister after the wedding: Hi, Darlene! We're very happy with the souvenirs. We actually followed your design for the entourage gifts and the ninongs and ninangs. Right now, we're in Camiguin joining the newly weds, hehe! I promise to post pics when we get them from Ariel Javelosa. We love your design sa giveaways! Big thanks po! ~ Jaime & Amy ~ |
