I am a hands-on mother of two (2) -- our eldest son going 2 years & 8 months, and our newest member of the family going 5 months this July 2007. Having children of my own has made me realize that I have made the right choice of starting this soap-making business in the year 2000.  Well, it's not really because of the profit, but it's more of the benefits my husband and children have in using all-natural handmade soaps.  I know what's in them and we don't need to use commercial soaps anymore - ever! .

Now, about my handmade soaps... BY NATURE Handmade Soaps came about from my interest in aromatherapy and anything natural.  I have always wanted to know what I use and put on my body and thought, "What if I made my own stuff? At least I would know what's really in them."  Then I started researching on soaps because that is one commodity we use everyday and I loved trying different kinds then.  But the more I researched and learned about the truth on commercial soaps, the more I got determined to come up with my own handmade soaps for myself and my family.  It was not easy at the beginning.  I ended up with batches that did not pass my standards.  Some were too dry and crusty, others were too soft, some produced little bubbles, and others lathered but did not bubble at all.

Then after quite a number of trial and errors, I finally came up with a batch that was just the right concoction!  That batch bubbled with very nice lather. I felt so clean and refreshed after trying it. Not only did it feel like all the dirt and dead skin came off, but my skin also felt very soft afterwards.  It did not feel dry at all (COULDN’T scratch the word “dry” on my hands).  So, from then on, I stuck with that formulation, simply adding a little of this and a little of that to come up with more varieties. Since then, I have made numerous batches, experimenting on different scents and natural additives (yummy and good stuff).  The variants under "Regular Bars" are the ones I made that year I started (update: except for Choco Latte and Milkenhoney, which are new additions).  Along the way, do expect some changes.  But whatever those changes will be, rest assured, they will be for better and more improved handmade soaps for you to enjoy.
