Having learned about what a lot of plastic containers can leach into our drinks, I've decided to go stainless steel for our water jugs. It's not the most convenient thing to use due to the wider mouth opening, but I'm glad that my boys have already adjusted to theirs. I chose to get this brand (though there are so many other stainless steel jugs out in the market) because not only is the product itself environment-friendly, but the company has been "environmentally responsible and sustainable from the beginning". ![]() (posted July 14, 2010) (photo taken from Greenhealthybaby.com) Earth's Best Toddler Toothpaste - GREAT PRODUCT!
(posted July 14, 2010) (photo taken from Sterimar.com) Sterimar Nasal Spray - VERY RELIABLE PRODUCT! (posted August 30, 2008) (photo taken from OralB.com) Oral-B Stages Toothbrushes - GREAT PRODUCT! These toothbrushes are great for kids! They come in different designs "to meet kids' special oral care needs at every stage". DL1 and DL2 are enjoying their own toothbrushes. They're easy to grip and the bristles are soft enough not to cause their gums to bleed. They come in cute designs, too! ![]() (posted June 23, 2008) Corn Starch Powder - GREAT ALTERNATIVE! Instead of using baby powder which is made purely of talc, I use corn starch to keep our boys dry. Since they really perspire a lot, they tend to get sweat rash or prickly heat, which are actually very itchy. During summer, the boys will get a lot of it. DL1 would come to me and ask me to scratch his back. Instead of doing so, I just rub his back with corn starch (with lavender essential oil) and he walks away happy. The redness of the prickly heat also disappears. Just be careful to apply the corn starch slowly because you wouldn't want your child to be inhaling it either. By the way, corn starch easily cakes, so it's better to wipe off your child's perspiration first before applying it. . More to come... Reviews on other products they've used:
(posted June 23, 2008) (photo taken from Rubbermaid.com) Rubbermaid Chug Bottle (smaller size) (This was such a convenient jug for the kids but I still chose to replace it with their current stainless steel jug.) Note: I am not deleting this particular product, though our kids don't use them anymore, so other moms will have an option on what to have their kids use.
(posted August 30, 2008) (photo taken by website owner) SansFluo Toothpaste (This was the toothpaste I let our kids use since they were little. They smell so yummy (in orange and strawberry flavors) and take a long time to get fully consumed, making this brand very affordable. But I have shifted them to another brand since this toothpaste, unluckily, contains parabens. Note: I am not deleting this particular product so moms can also be informed about its ingredients. |
